Ground rules of the grid

Revised 1 November 2026

What Tamarackarcade offers you

Tamarackarcade is a free reading site about voxel sandboxes and blocky shooters that run in a web browser. You can read every review, guide and score without making an account or signing up for anything, and nothing is for sale here. By using the site you agree to these house rules, which we have tried to keep short and readable.

You are welcome to read, share links to our pages and quote short passages with credit and a link back. Please do not copy whole reviews, guides or illustrations onto another site or present them as your own work.

Our scores are opinions, earned through play

Every score and review on Tamarackarcade is the editorial opinion of our writers, formed after playing each game over several weeks. Games update often, and a mode, a menu or a balance change can shift after we publish. We revisit games when we learn they have changed.

If you spot something that has gone out of date, or something we simply got wrong, please write to editors@tamarackarcade.com. We read every correction and update the review with a dated note when we confirm it.

Leaving for a game’s own site

The play buttons on our pages open each game’s official site in a new tab. Once you are there, you are using that publisher’s service, under that publisher’s own terms of use and privacy policy. We encourage you to read them, especially before creating an account or letting a younger player join public lobbies.

Some buttons may be partner links. They point to the same official pages an ordinary link would, and they never change where a game ranks on this site.

Whose cubes are whose

Game names, logos and related marks belong to their respective owners, and we use them only to identify the games we write about. The text, illustrations, mascot, layout and design of Tamarackarcade are our own work, and they remain ours.

If you own a mark mentioned here and would like to discuss how it appears, write to the editors and we will reply promptly.

Changes to these house rules

We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is always the current one. Continuing to read after a change means you accept the updated version.

Which laws apply

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the site will be handled by the courts of Ontario, although we would much rather sort out a disagreement over email first, and in our experience that almost always works.
